  6. I've been out of commission since Monday. I think for lower back intensive exercises (like virtual shoveling or high rep deads), I need to scale down a bit. My back has been in rough shape since. My right hand has also suffered from the pullups. Sometimes I wonder if Crossfit is occasionally counter-productive ;)

  7. Jamie you sound down ... hahah ... too little carbs?? are you being a poopy pants?

I remember virtual shoveling the first time really hurt my back ... felt the same after doing linda as rx'd

  8. Lots and lots of stretching after wards. My back was shot for a bit after as well. Not injured but sore as hell.

  12. I just spoke with the trainer. The difference between CrossFit and them is that CrossFit is just High Intensity ( balls to the wall) Interval training with a lack of commitment to technique.

    ReplyDelete
  13. is that what they told you?

    ReplyDelete
  14. Mac, he did not use the words balls to the wall, but yes that is what he told me. Their program is more "progression based" less "intensity based"

He has clearly bought into the CrossFitters are crazy, with complete disregard for technique and safety silliness that many seem to share.

  17. ..Yeah and hand them a stick to get started...They are having an open house on Saturday. Tracey and I are going to check them out. They do O lift so that's good! Did you look at the site yet?

    ReplyDelete
  18. They say all the right stuff on their site. As Tracey said they will help spread the word that the gym is not the place to be to get fit for real. I sure don't feel bad about our rates anymore.
